Wagon R
₹13/kmSmall families and city hops
One-way drops and round trips across South India, with a driver and a published per-km rate
TravelMax runs outstation taxis from Bengaluru with a driver included, charged on a published per-kilometre rate that you see before you book. A hatchback is ₹13/km on a round trip and ₹16/km one way, plus a driver allowance of ₹400 a day. Larger vehicles cost more per kilometre. Toll, state tax and parking are paid on actuals.
The fleet runs from a Wagon R up to a 21-seat bus, so a couple going to Nandi Hills and a wedding party going to Mangaluru book the same way. Pay 15 per cent online to hold the car, settle the balance before the trip starts.

Bengaluru to Mysuru is about 160 km. In a hatchback, one way: ₹16 × 160 km = ₹2,560, plus ₹400 driver allowance = ₹2,960, less 10 per cent = ₹2,664. Toll and parking on top, on actuals.

Fares above are for a hatchback with the driver and the 10 per cent online discount, before toll and parking. Round trips, larger vehicles and multi-day tours are quoted on the booking form.
One-way drop. You pay for the distance you travel, not the return leg. The per-kilometre rate is higher because the car comes back empty, but the total is usually lower. Right for an airport transfer, a relocation, or a trip where you are flying or training back.
Round trip. A lower per-kilometre rate, billed on a minimum of 300 km per day, with the driver staying with you. Right for a weekend in Coorg or a temple circuit, where you want the car on hand the whole time. On a round trip you can add up to five cities to visit along the way when you search.
The car, the fuel, the driver, the driver's allowance and stay, and the kilometres in your package. Luggage as listed against each vehicle.
Toll, state permit charges and parking on actuals. A night allowance for travel between 10 PM and 6 AM. Kilometres beyond the package, at the per-km rate on your booking.
The fare is published, not negotiated. Every rate on this page is the rate the booking form quotes. There is no surge pricing and no different number on the phone.
Drivers who know the routes. Police-verified, in uniform, and familiar with the ghat sections to Coorg, Ooty and Chikmagalur that a city driver is not.
A real fleet, not an aggregator. Eight vehicle classes from a hatchback to a 21-seat bus, so a group of sixteen does not have to take three cars.

The Mysuru road is the easiest drive out of Bengaluru: ten-lane expressway most of the way, and about three hours door to door outside peak hours. Most families leave at six in the morning, do the Palace and Chamundi Hill, and are back the same night. If you want Brindavan Gardens and the musical fountain as well, stay the night, because the fountain runs in the evening and the drive back afterwards is long. A hatchback is enough for a couple with cabin bags. Four adults with suitcases should take the Ertiga, because the Wagon R boot takes one bag. Srirangapatna, Ranganathittu bird sanctuary and the Tipu Sultan summer palace all sit on the same road and add little to the running time, so tell the office when you book and the driver plans for them.
Madikeri is five and a half hours away and the last forty kilometres are ghat road with tight hairpins, so this is not a trip for a tired driver or a car with bald tyres. Our drivers on the Coorg route run it regularly and know where the road narrows. Two nights works better than one: a single night means roughly eleven hours of driving around one short day. Abbey Falls, Raja Seat, Dubare elephant camp and the Talacauvery temple are the usual circuit, and a round trip suits it because you want the car waiting while you move between estates and homestays. Many Coorg homestays sit down unsurfaced lanes; an Ertiga or an Innova handles those far better than a hatchback.
Ooty takes six and a half hours because of the Bandipur and Mudumalai stretch, where there is a night traffic ban between 9 PM and 6 AM and a strict speed limit through the forest. Plan to clear that section in daylight. The climb from Gudalur is thirty-six hairpins and a heavier vehicle rides it far more comfortably than a small hatchback, so most groups take the Ertiga or the Innova. Three nights is the comfortable minimum. Coonoor, Doddabetta, the botanical garden and the Nilgiri toy train fill the days, and the toy train needs booking well ahead in season.
Five hours to the coffee country, and the best months are right after the monsoon when the estates are green and the Mullayanagiri road is clear. Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka and the last stretch to the summit is a narrow single lane with passing places, which is worth knowing before you book a Tempo Traveller for it. Baba Budangiri, Hebbe Falls and Kemmanagundi are the usual additions. Hebbe Falls needs a jeep for the final leg, which you hire locally; your TravelMax driver waits at the estate gate.
Five hours on good highway, and most people do it overnight: leave Bengaluru around ten at night, reach Tirupati before dawn, take darshan and drive back the same day. That is a long day for one driver, so the fare includes a night allowance and we plan the rest stops. Book the darshan slot yourself before you book the cab, because the slot sets the timing of everything else. An Innova suits this trip better than a sedan simply because people sleep in the car on the way up.
Six hours through Bandipur and Muthanga, both with the same night traffic ban, so the practical window is a morning start. Wayanad is spread out, with Edakkal caves, Banasura Sagar dam, Soochipara falls and Chembra peak sitting well apart from one another, which is why a round trip with the car staying with you works better here than anywhere else on this list. Edakkal involves a steep walk from the vehicle point. Kerala charges an interstate permit, which appears on your bill as state tax and is paid on actuals.
Anywhere else in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana or Goa is quoted the same way: distance times the per-km rate for your vehicle, plus the driver allowance. Put the route into the booking form and the fare comes back for every vehicle at once.

Premium van for larger groups

Count the luggage, not the people. Most people book a size too small because the seats add up. A Wagon R seats four, but the boot takes one bag. Four adults with a suitcase each need the Ertiga. This is the single most common change we make on the confirmation call.
Ghat roads reward weight. Coorg, Ooty, Chikmagalur and Wayanad all finish with hairpins. A heavier vehicle is steadier and far less tiring for passengers prone to motion sickness. If someone in the group suffers on winding roads, take the Innova.
Above twelve people, stop adding cars. Three hatchbacks cost more than one Tempo Traveller and arrive at different times. The Tempo Traveller takes twelve, the Urbania sixteen and the bus twenty-one. Full specifications are on the vehicles and rates page.
Overnight trips favour the Innova. On Tirupati runs and early departures, people sleep in the car. The extra legroom is worth more than the per-kilometre difference.
1. Search your route. Enter where you are starting, where you are going, the date and time, and your mobile number. Round trips take a return date, and you can add up to five cities to visit along the way.
2. Compare the fares. Every vehicle that can run your route comes back with its price. The figure shown already includes the 10 per cent online discount.
3. Review and pay the booking amount. The review page breaks the fare down line by line, shows what is included and what is extra, and takes 15 per cent to hold the car. Pay by UPI, card, net banking or wallet.
4. We call to confirm. Our office rings to confirm the vehicle, the pickup point and anything specific to your trip.
5. Driver details reach you before pickup. Name, mobile number and vehicle registration arrive by SMS and WhatsApp up to two hours before.
Prefer to talk it through? Call +91 98452 62226 at any hour, or use the contact page.
Every driver is police-verified and drives in uniform. On outstation work that matters more than it does in the city: you are with the same person for two or three days, often on roads you do not know, sometimes after dark.
Drivers are assigned by route, not at random. The Coorg and Ooty ghat sections, the Bandipur forest timings and the Tirupati overnight run each need someone who has done them before. The driver's allowance on your bill covers their meals and accommodation, so there is nothing to settle directly with them beyond a tip if you want to leave one.
By law a driver needs rest. On a single-day round trip beyond roughly 500 km, or on consecutive long days, we plan a break or a second driver into the quote rather than pretending it is not needed.
Plans move. Call the office as early as you can and we will shift the date rather than cancel wherever the vehicle allows it. Terms are on the terms page and the refund policy.
Outstation cabs pick up from any address in Bengaluru at no extra charge, including Whitefield, Electronic City, Koramangala, Indiranagar, HSR Layout, Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Hebbal, Yelahanka, Rajajinagar, Malleshwaram, Marathahalli, Sarjapur Road, Banashankari, Basavanagudi, Bellandur and Kengeri.
Kempegowda International Airport pickups and drops run on the same per-kilometre rates. Give the flight number when you book so the driver can track the arrival; waiting time inside the free window is not charged.
Pickups also run from Yeshwantpur, KSR Bengaluru City and Cantonment railway stations, and from the Majestic and Shantinagar bus stands. For an early start, the driver reaches your address fifteen minutes ahead so the vehicle is loaded and moving on time.
If you are landing in Bengaluru and heading straight out, a one-way drop usually beats a round trip, because you are not paying for the car to come home empty. Tell the office your flight timing and the driver meets you at arrivals.
Leave early. Anything south or west means crossing the city. A 6 AM start clears Bengaluru in forty minutes; a 9 AM start can take two hours, and you pay for that time in a longer day rather than a bigger fare.
Watch the forest timings. Bandipur and Muthanga, on the Ooty and Wayanad roads, close to traffic between 9 PM and 6 AM. Plan to be through in daylight. There is no way round this and no exception for taxis.
Monsoon changes the destination, not the plan. June to September is poor for Ooty and Coorg viewpoints but the best time for Shivanasamudra, Jog Falls and the coast, when the falls are actually running.
Book ahead in season. Long weekends, Dasara in Mysuru, and the December and January stretch fill up. A car or SUV needs a day's notice; a Tempo Traveller, Urbania or the bus needs two or three.
Round trips are billed on 300 km a day. A two-day Mysuru round trip is billed on 600 km even though the driving is nearer 320. For short distances over several days, ask the office whether a local package suits you better.
Fares are per kilometre and published before you book. A hatchback is Rs 13/km on a round trip and Rs 16/km one way, plus a driver allowance of Rs 400 a day. A Bengaluru to Mysuru one-way drop in a hatchback works out around Rs 2,664 after the 10 per cent online discount. Larger vehicles cost more per kilometre; the full table is on this page.
Per kilometre, no. One way costs more per kilometre because the car returns empty. In total it is usually cheaper, because you are billed for the distance you travel rather than both legs. Round trips are billed on a minimum of 300 km per day.
Yes. Every TravelMax car comes with a driver. There is no self-drive option. The per-kilometre rate covers the car, the fuel and the driver, and the daily driver allowance is shown separately so nothing is hidden.
Toll, state permit charges and parking are paid on actuals. A night allowance applies for travel between 10 PM and 6 AM. Anything beyond the booked package is charged at the per-kilometre rate shown on your booking.
Mysuru, Coorg, Ooty, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Nandi Hills, Shivanasamudra, Wayanad, Mangaluru, Tirupati, Hampi and Puducherry, plus anywhere else in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Goa.
A day ahead is comfortable for a car or SUV. For a Tempo Traveller, an Urbania or the 21-seat bus, and for weekends and festival dates, give it two or three days.
Yes. On a round trip you can add up to five cities to visit when you search. They reach the office and the driver as your itinerary, and the office confirms the final price on the call.
You pay a booking amount online to hold the car and settle the balance before the trip starts. Online payment is by UPI, card, net banking or wallet.
Yes, 300 km per day. A two-day round trip to Mysuru is billed on 600 km even though the driving is nearer 320 km. For short distances across several days, ask the office whether a local package works out cheaper for you.
Yes, and airport runs use the same per-kilometre rates as any other trip. Give the flight number when you book so the driver can track the arrival. Waiting inside the free window is not charged.
Both close to traffic between 9 PM and 6 AM. That affects the Ooty and Wayanad routes, and there is no exception for taxis. Plan to clear those sections in daylight, which usually means a morning start from Bengaluru.
Yes. Interstate trips carry a state permit charge, which appears on your bill as state tax and is paid on actuals. It is set by the state, not by us.
